At your stations, as a group, watch the BrainPOP videos Classification and The Six Kingdoms. Listen carefully and then take the quizzes as a group. Add the important information to your graphic organizer in the appropriate sections. Then, continuing as a group, watch the following videos and fill in the bubbles with the most important information you learn. (Hint: fill them in as you go, don't try to remember everything at the end of the video.)

Comparison Estimator - Similar to Estimator but compares two sets of objects.
More or Less Estimator - Similar to Estimator activity but states a quantity and asks the user to estimate whether the set of objects is more or less than the number given.

Fractions, Fractions, Fractions!



We are beginning our lengthy unit on FRACTIONS! We will learn how to make them equivalent, simplify them, name them, add them, subtract them, multiply and divide them! So hold on to your hat - everyday builds on the next and you must keep up so that your hat is not blown away! We are first going to look at equivalent fractions and how to simplify/reduce fractions. These are two key concepts that you will always use with fractions!
